BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 

ATTENTION ALL TEAMS INVOLVED IN THE FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Due to inclement weather, the games schedule for today at Demarest and Lyndhurst High Schools are postponed for Saturday, February 6, 2010 and Sunday February 7, 2010.

The Bergen County Basketball Jamboree came into being on the scholastic basketball map in December of 1950 when the Bergen County Coaches Association appointed a committee to look into the possibility of a countywide high school basketball tournament.

Congratulation to Paramus Catholic for winning the 38^th Annual Bergen County Coaches Association Bowling Tournament.  Paramus Catholic had a team score of 5966.  Steve Natoli's (PC) tournament high game of 299 is the first 299 game in the 38 year history of this tournament.  He left a 7-pin in the third game of the tournament to deny him a spot in the record book.  (There have been only two 300 games in the history of the tournament - Mike Riccardi for St. Joseph in 2002 and Steve  Fernandez for Ridgefield Park in 2003.)
