Bergen County Freshman Basketball Tournament Final

The BCCA would like to thank Mr. Tony Karcich and Saint Joseph Regional High School for hosting a very entertaining final of the Bergen County Boy's Freshman Basketball Tournament. A crowd of over 300 watched the #5 seed Comets of Hackensack defeat the #2 seed Saint Joseph's Green Knights 66-60.

Freshman Boys Basketball Tournament POSTPONED

Due to the inclement weather the finals of the BCCA Freshman Boys Basketball Tournament has been postponed.

It has been rescheduled for

Monday, March 1, 2010 7pm at St. Joseph's High School.

The BCCA will provide officials and game help. St. Joseph will provide clock operator and athletic trainer.

We would like to thank everyone in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Getting this game played is important to everyone.

BERGEN COUNTY FRESHMAN BASKETBALL SEMIFINAL INFORMATION

Thanks to Greg McDonald and Ridgewood High School for being gracious hosts and allowing the BCCA Boys Freshman Basketball Tournament to use their facility for semifinal play.

The results of today's games

#5 Hackensack deafeated #8 Pascack Hills by a score of 64-42.

Hackensack was led by Jon Stratoberdha who scored 15 points

Pascack Hills was led by Drew Mann's 15 points.

54 YEARS OF THE BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE

The Bergen County Basketball Jamboree came into being on the scholastic basketball map in December of 1950 when the Bergen County Coaches Association appointed a committee to look into the possibility of a countywide high school basketball tournament.

BCCA Bowling Championship- Results

Congratulation to Paramus Catholic for winning the 38^th Annual Bergen County Coaches Association Bowling Tournament. Paramus Catholic had a team score of 5966. Steve Natoli's (PC) tournament high game of 299 is the first 299 game in the 38 year history of this tournament. He left a 7-pin in the third game of the tournament to deny him a spot in the record book. (There have been only two 300 games in the history of the tournament - Mike Riccardi for St. Joseph in 2002 and Steve Fernandez for Ridgefield Park in 2003.)
